Our History
Christ Unlimited Ministries began by the Lord leading Bud & Betty Miller to obtain the Bible.com domain name back in 1995 and they became pioneers in this Internet pursuit as they developed the Bible.com website with no previous computer skills. It was through a miraculous event, they were able to obtain the domain name and through Bible.com, they ministered to millions of people for the 18 years they owned it. It exploded and became one of the top Christian websites on the Internet reaching over a hundred million visitors.
The Lord has since changed direction for the ministry and the Millers are now managing the website, BibleResources.org . YouVersion.com is heading up Bible.com, as they now own that domain name, and are offering downloads of Bibles in every language from that website. It was always a prayer of Bud and Betty’s to see millions of free Bible downloads being offered to the world. They have given away well over a 179 million installs.
Previous to this online ministry, Bud and Betty served God as evangelists traveling extensively to a number of foreign countries, as well as in the USA during the 1970’s. They were based in Texas at that time. In 1981 they established and pastored a local church in the Prescott, Arizona area for over 13 years. During this time, they developed a curriculum for a Bible School. Much of the material from the Bible School is now the content currently posted on the BibleResources.org pages. The church was also highly involved in the support of missionaries and the sending out of free Bibles to those in need all over the world. They had weekly prayer meetings where they interceded for the needs of all who requested prayer. The Lord used the free will tithes and offerings of the people in the church to support the ministry and the work it was doing.
In 1994, the Lord spoke to them to give up the pastorate and pursue a new ministry on the Internet. He spoke to them that their ministry would continue; however, this time with a different pulpit, it would now be the sending out of their teachings and sermons through this new media. They were to help those who needed Bibles and to pray for those who needed prayer. Instead of a local ministry however, the ministry’s outreach would be to the whole world. It is amazing to see how the Lord is using BibleResources.org to minister to so many people. The staff is receiving testimonies daily of those who are being saved, healed and touched by a word they find on the site. People are also being blessed, encouraged and are finding answers to their questions through the Bible Answers section.
The Daily devotional, God’s Wisdom for Daily Living is being used to change lives.
Bud and Betty remained in active in ministry until 2018. They had no desire to retire and planned to continue to minister as long as God had need of them to be servants to His people by sharing an overcoming life message to all who are seeking to know God and do His will. They were always grateful for all the prayers and support of those who are called to stand with them as they continued their quest to make history for God by reaching out to a lost and confused world.
In January 2020, Bud passed away. Betty, with the help of a small ministry staff, continued the management of the ministry. It was always her top priority to be a servant to those in need of resources and teaching from God’s word. Betty remarried in October 2023. The Lord blessed her and the ministry with Earl Haddix who has assumed the roles of Property Manager and Business Manager. Now, Earl and Betty have received a refreshed vision for Christ Unlimited Ministries. They are diligently focused on updating and upgrading the website as well as updating books, writings and teachings that are extremely relevant to the current times. They are committed to hearing from God, seeking Him and doing His will.
A Note from Betty Miller-Haddix about her recent marriage:
I also had an amazing “surprise” and a “suddenly” this last year when the Lord sent me a new husband after the death of Bud Miller in 2020. I was not expecting this but had been praying for help in the ministry after Bud went to heaven. I was not thinking of a husband but rather help in the office and online and was looking for a property manager. God in an amazing miracle united my new husband, Earl Haddix and I to wed. He spoke to both of us in dreams and other confirmations about our holy union. We were married on October 11, 2023 at the Parker Heights Church in Odessa, Texas during my recent trip there to be among family and friends. Earl attended the church that my late husband, Bud Miller and I pastored a number of years ago. God brought Earl back into my life. We pray our mutual love will also bring God’s love to others.
